Bennetts Filtered Terracotta Clay is dug straight from the ground in South Australia, it has a natural terracotta colour & is quite plastic and workable - Bennetts filtered terracotta is ideal for both throwing and hand building. 

10% shrinkage ( approx ) please test all clays before you make your finished work.

 
Recommended firing temperature is 1080 Degrees C to 1150 Degrees C

Fired to 1000 Degrees Celsius gives a pink (under fired or bisque),

Fired to 1090 Degrees Celsius gives a deep Red

Fired to 1150 Degrees Celsius will be a light brownish
