Insoluble & Alkaline, Lithium Carbonate is a very powerful flux that has a lower rate of expansion & contraction than either sodium or potassium. Lithium carbonate is often used as a replacement for both sodium and potassium. Lithium carbonate produces quite stable glaze without affecting the finish or colour of the glaze.
